General Information
Sheldon has 3 cemeteries. The City manages East Lawn, and assists with the other two:
- St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery (Google Map)
- St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery (Google Map)
- East Lawn Cemetery (Google Map)
The City of Sheldon takes care of the East Lawn Cemetery’s records and ground keeping. The City Office has a database compiled of those individuals buried at East Lawn Cemetery.
All live flowers and plants, artificial flowers and plants, and other grave adornments shall be removed from all gravesites between October 30th and April 1st of each year. The sexton will dispose of items left on graves after this time period. (Note: Adornments have been allowed for special occasions and holidays as designated by sexton.)
