Sheldon’s damages aren’t as visible as other cities, but they are still enormous. We have been informed of unhabitable homes, and significant damage to personal property. We are helping Jared with O’Brien EMA to build the case to activate FEMA’s individual assistance program here, which is significantly more generous than what the state has available. Most of you are already taking pictures, please take lots of pictures, including of the piles of debris, etc. You should also inventory your losses.
The portion of Sheldon in Sioux County is already eligible.
Either way, please do this ASAP.
